In the Summer 2017 issue of The Voter, you will find:

  • August Hot Topic: Climate Change. We are encouraging League members to watch the Al Gore movie "An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power". There will be two Hot Topic gatherings to discuss the movie, a lunch on August 28 at Michaels in Christiana, and an evening session on August 29 at McGlynns on Polly Drummond Rd.

  • President's Message; Welcome to New Members; Thank you to volunteers.
  • A eulogy for longtime League member Rita Smith.
  • Volunteers are needed for Newark Community Day voter registration table and for the September New Citizen ceremony.
  • Save the date for the Sept 9 Hot Topic Human Trafficking forum.
  • The Sept 18 Great Decisions Topic is "Latin America's Political Pendulum".
